A long sprinkling on the bare area, which isn't as huge as last year, when I started planting this area. |
I hope I got them out before they've had a chance to throw out more seed. I'm sure something will take advantage of this clearing, probably more Lychnis or a few hundred For-get-me-nots . |
Fortunately for us, the Lychnis and forget-me-nots are easily pulled out, as world domination is in their DNA.
ReplyDeleteRicki, Not all of them , the ones near the Erygiums were very tricky to get at .
DeleteYes bye bye Lychnis! Indeed. I'm with you! They are fine in small doses for me but oh boy do they reseed everywhere.
ReplyDeleteTamara, I'm trying to fill in the area, before they have a chance of taking over again.
DeleteSomehow you can develop a love hate relationship with rose campion. Some years back I thought it was spreading too much so I uprooted most of it. This spring I just had two plants left, a red and a white, and I think I should have more!
ReplyDeleteAlain, I'm sure next year your two plants will leave you many more !
