Another look at the January garden

Things have changed a bit from yesterdays post !

So much snow cover , I 'm having trouble remembering ….what is under there.  Oh yes Bamboo ! The drooping cable is more worrying .

Arctostaphylos before I  swished it with the broom .

Not worried so much about the grasses and perennials , but all the big heavy shrubs along the fence…now where are they. I've been darting in and out , as I suddenly remember : Cistus 'Alma '  Rosemary and  Pittosporum 'tall and tough'  … lets hope so.

Completely bent to the ground Eucalyptus camphora  .

The little shed looks quite sweet ! Haven't checked on my Bonzai  collection sitting on the tree stump yet.

I think that's Saccharum ravennae  , maybe it will pop up again .

The Eucayptus after a little brush up. It did die back the first year I planted it , so I'm hopeful for recovery !

  1. Wow, it looks like you got more than we did. The bamboo here is completely covered. I can only see a mound.

  2. Oh my, your snow sure is beautiful but I hope your plants aren't damaged by the weight of it. We got five flakes that blew away.

  5. You got way more snow than we did. Your garden looks gorgeous, but I'm crossing my fingers that your plants don't suffer.

  6. Great pictures of the snow. Although I think I would have stayed indoors. When you live in Florida long enough, winter is for other people.
