Late December in the garden...

A few dry moments and mild temperatures had me out tidying up... just  a little  bit. I couldn't stand the mush any longer, though the worms are doing a good job pulling things down.
We not be in for a white Christmas, But I'm enjoying how blond everything has become …

Late November in the garden.

What a little cold snap , followed by wind and rain will do. I 'm enjoying the tangled mess , so maybe I'll just leave it for now.

Tiny heat ….

All my tender ones safely tucked into the sunroom for the winter. Not only that; but  they've  got a sweet little  electric heater to keep them warm.

And it  does double duty in my shed.  Though I admit I haven't spend much time sitting in the shed.  I do love the orange and blue ; and it is much safer than the wood stove I wanted when I started my shed project .

November in the garden.

A break from the rain ; and a brief sunny spell . Had me out for a wander in the garden . I 've never taken photos from this far end of the front garden. I have high hopes next year it will fill in nicely. I've moved in all my garden thugs  like ,Nepeta 'Souvenir de Andre Chandon' with gets all floppy with the first big spring rains . I don't think the Eremurus will be bothered when it shoots through all the tangle of  Andre.

Eucalyptus camphora  has made quite a comeback after last winter.

This orange Dahlia and purple Salvia combination is still going strong.

Another one making a comeback ,Cordyline Australis. Here joined by one of many NNicotiana Sylvestris.

And here with Artemisisia 'Powis Castle'  and Saccharum ravennae .

Last year Leucosceptrum stellipilum 'October moon' didn't get a chance to bloom , knocked back by the frost . This year it's  pushing those blooms out. This one finding a nice gap through a chewed hole in a Tetrapanax  leaf.
