Now this area needed a good layer of gravel , under the shorn Acassia . With all that messy undergrowth gone , a more open space with new low growing planting . |
The sea of Sedum got a thick sprinkling of gravel between the stepping stones , for easier wheel barrow pushing. And so ended the day , with still half the pile left. |
It's mulching, whatever you do it with. And it's my specialty. So I'd even help if you still have some on Friday!
ReplyDeleteoh in the case I'll get another yard in ...ha ha
DeleteOh, I don't envy you. Hauling gravel is so much harder than hauling compost or wood chips. But it looks so good!
ReplyDeleteNow that Jane has offered to help !
DeleteI don't remember the before from the plant exchange, but the after with those low plantings under the Acacia looks great. Gravel (any kind of mulch really) just makes things look so tidy.
ReplyDeleteAlison , It was a bushy tangle of Acacia !
DeleteI still can't get over that huge acacia; it's so beautiful! I also can't believe that you're blaming those two adorable observers for scattering your gravel. They could never do anything wrong! It must be monsters that come in the night to mess up your paths.
ReplyDeletePeter, Can you not see all the dimples from those doggie feet in the gravel , already , or was it my Birenstock?
DeleteThose guys ARE looking pretty guilty in that first photo...or are they simply plotting their next romp in all that fresh gravel?
ReplyDeleteRosie is doing her Bostonatrex on Mickey in that photo!
DeleteNow that you're finished, can you come and gravel my garden too, pretty please? Just kidding, sort of.
ReplyDeleteI would ,but I've still got more to do ! And it's just too HOT !
