Last chance…again

Fritillaria persica …why will you not bloom? I planted five bulbs …not cheap $ 23.50 in 2011 .  Every year they look promising , but no, never a bloom . Last year I decided to dig them up and move them around. And here is one clump. It's looking heathy , to be honest I love the foliage; and if it never blooms , I won't really mind.

  1. Oh, I so looked forward to those dusky blooms, but it was not to be. I moved mine around several times, to no avail.

  2. You are not the only one... I'm trying it for the first time this year, but per my green goddess friend Gina (who can get just about anything to grow) told me she had no luck either. When not even she can get it right, I suspect there is black magic at work. But hey - I'm still going to try.

    1. I love a challenge ! Five years though . I have moved them to several different locations; the driest, sunniest I could find . I might try ordering them from a west coast source , if I can find one , could make a difference .
