Late November in the garden.

What a little cold snap , followed by wind and rain will do. I 'm enjoying the tangled mess , so maybe I'll just leave it for now.

  1. My gardens are looking quite the same. I enjoy it though. All of the seed heads are providing food for the visiting birds, the heathering hues of the decaying foliage. I am secretly wishing for a good hard frost (on a weekend day when I am home) so that I can take photos. Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. I think we're all in the same boat. I want to get out to clear up the mess when its not raining. But I know it's better to leave the cover for birds and insects. And the neighboring trees just keep dumping their shed leaves all over. My stickery plants are starting to look like squirrel nests on the ground!

  3. I have to say I kind of enjoy that look of tattered decay. My banana leaves look just as sad as yours, and so many things were just freeze-dried in place. I'm very happy it warmed up a bit! :)

    1. Anna, I enjoy this look in the garden, though with the rain everything is collapsing and turning to mush .

  4. You have many plants with good texture, which is why you have so much to enjoy even in winter. I, too find many things to bring into the house from the 'dead' garden that we all enjoy.
    Thanks.
