Just another frosty morning...

The view from the window that had me grabbing my camera and out into the frosty morning . My favorite part of the winter garden. All it needs is for the tall grasses planted at the back to fill in .

No…not confetti, but my poor Accacia pravissima having a serious leaf drop…we'll see if it is  root hardy after all .  I   'm resigned to it needing replacement. I've got a short list at the moment , something hardy perhaps ….

  1. I was actually bummed out to see frost this morning. It's sunny and dry but too cold out there.

  3. Oh dear, your Accacia... dang. That's not good. I hope it recovers. Fingers crossed. Interestingly my Eucalyptus I can't remember which species now... (I'm at work) but it has long, narrow, blue-green foliage. Since the cold snap, the leaves have turned dark purple, like a bad bruise. They're still attached to the tree but I'm preparing myself for the worst.

Also, I wanted to let you know that there was a fully attached vintage woodstove at the Restore. I don't know if it's worth the drive to Albany to check it out but if you want more info, please let me know.

Your garden is gorgeous with the frost and sunshine streaming through.
